I operate from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach, embracing the reality that every individual's journey is unique. My role is to offer support that is not only compassionate and person-centred, but also deeply informed by the latest developments in neuroscience. Concepts like polyvagal theory and The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics excite me as they provide roadmaps to understanding and healing that go beyond the surface and acknowledge underlying neurological and developmental factors. Whether it's helping a child navigate the complexities of their emotions by exploring specific brain regions or supporting an adult processing trauma through nervous system coping tools, I've seen firsthand how understanding the functions of the brain and body can pave the way for sustained healing. In my practice, I also harness Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, The Internal Family Systems Model, Art Therapy, and Play Therapy.
